Hi, I’m Meghna!

Aspiring tech consultant and a full-time problem solver

I just graduated in Applied Computer Science and I'm on the hunt for exciting, impact-driven roles. I love figuring things out, building things from scratch, and simplifying messy problems.

How I got here: one milestone (and midnight brainstorm) at a time

This timeline is a glimpse into my journey from 2020 to 2025 – starting with moving to Canada to study computer science, and growing through every class, project, and challenge along the way. From launching a local gig platform to rebuilding a non-profit community app, each milestone shaped who I am today: curious, hands-on, and ready for what’s next.

Moved to Halifax, finally!

After a year of online classes (thanks, COVID), I packed my bags and made the move from home to Halifax. This was my first time living away from family and the beginning of all the real-life experiences that would shape my undergrad journey.

First Job Ever: Club Monaco

Started my very first job in Canada as a Sales Associate at Club Monaco, and on my third day, I closed a $10,000 transaction in a single sale (!!). Not a bad way to kick things off, right? It was an exciting intro to sales, customer relationships, and thriving under pressure.

Joined H&M

Jumped into a fast-paced role at H&M, where I balanced personalized customer service with visual merchandising responsibilities.

A highlight? I signed up over 80% of eligible customers for H&M’s loyalty program, well above team averages. Oh, and I survived Black Friday. With a smile :)

Introduced to Project Beach Bluenoser

Got introduced to the project that would change everything. I started as a Junior Developer for Beach Bluenoser, a city-wide mobile app for a Halifax non-profit, and instantly got invested.

I built early UI features, worked closely with our client, and wrote this research doc that helped us plan the shift to iOS.

🎓 Awarded Dalhousie In-Course Scholarship
Received the Dalhousie In-Course Scholarship in recognition of academic performance and progress. After balancing coursework, development deadlines, and late-night strategy docs (hi, Beach Bluenoser), this moment felt like a quiet but meaningful win.

Stepped into a Senior Developer Role for Beach Bluenoser

Took the lead on migrating the app to Flutter for iOS, guided the team through sprints, and became a go-to point of contact for the client. This was when I really stepped into a leadership role, and realized how much I loved it.

“You’re one of the few senior devs who’s made real progress — the instructors are proud of you.”

— Shared by my TA, and a moment that meant a lot.

Took on the role of Tech Development Director for Beach Bluenoser

This was more than just a role change. I found myself advising the client, offering direction on key decisions, and genuinely enjoying the consulting side of tech. It’s also when I realized how much I loved solving problems collaboratively. I’m proud to say this project ended with a reference letter that means the world to me.

Designed the WorkerBee UX Proposal

Put together a full design proposal for WorkerBee, using everything I’ve learned over the years about HCI, usability, and building trust through good design.

This wasn’t just wireframes, it was me asking: How do we make people feel confident using something built by strangers?

What's Next For Me?
After everything I’ve built, explored, and learned over the past few years, I’m now looking for opportunities to grow alongside teams who are just as curious and driven.
